CONFERENCE AWARDS


To recognize excellence and foster innovation in business model research, the following awards will be presented at Business Model Conference 2026.

Journal of Business Models Prize for the Best Empirical Contribution to Business Models
Awarded to the paper that provides the most rigorous and innovative empirical insights into business model research, with strong methodological grounding and practical relevance.

Journal of Business Models Prize for the Best Theoretical Contribution to Business Models
Awarded to the paper that advances business model theory in a significant way, offering novel conceptual frameworks or perspectives that enrich academic debate and guide future research.

Journal of Business Models Sustainability & Societal Impact Award
Awarded to the paper that demonstrates outstanding contribution to understanding or promoting sustainable and socially impactful business models, in line with global challenges and policy priorities.

Journal of Business Models Young Scholars Award
Awarded to the best paper authored by a PhD student or early-career researcher, recognizing originality, research potential, and contribution to the development of the business model field.

Journal of Business Models Best Reviewer Award
Awarded to the reviewer who has provided the most constructive, thorough, and timely feedback to authors, supporting both the quality of the conference and the mission of the Journal of Business Models community.

The awards will be announced during the conference gala dinner.



PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES


2026 Conference Issue of the Journal of Business Models
Following the conference, a selection of the most promising papers presented at Business Model Conference 2026 will be invited to submit to the 2026 Conference Issue of the Journal of Business Models. All invited contributions will be subject to a streamlined peer review process in line with the journal’s academic standards.

The Conference Issue is expected to be published in May 2027.

Book of Abstracts
The Book of Abstracts of the Business Model Conference 2026 will be published in a digital format with ISBN. In all cases, prior permission from the authors will be required before publication.

The Book of Abstracts will be made available on the conference website.
